On Christmas Day...

Morning snow
Crystal dew
Glass upon the street
The scent of emptiness
The blessing of stillness
all around.

A lazy bird
in slow descent
brushes willow leaves
Gently
the snow soughs down
down
to touch my feet.

I scoop the sun
the light, the ice
And taste the sight
of Freedom.

Merry Christmas Everyone!!

Beautiful chrismass poem, it feels so real!

My short one for you:
the singing bird
gave happy-ness
just his instincts
felt followed

Happy days for you!

A beautiful poem dear Shaista. Last night my little family, including the newlyweds sat around the fire admiring the flowers. You are like perfume. Your presence is known here.

Just came back from our Christmas trip to our adult children and their families - so have a belated merry Christmas - that the New Year may be a recovery to health for you, Shaista!
You can look back with satisfaction, for you fought the fight over your body and you won!!

Omigoodness, you are a talented young woman. Is there nothing you can't do? You're amazing, and so kind-hearted.

I hope 2010 brings you much joy, and good health.

Happy New Year to you and your family!

Love, Jo

Hope you and yours are enjoying the last few of the holidays, Shaista.

A little package arrived at the manor with your sweet handwriting on the flyleaf. It's a gift I'll truly cherish. xx
