Happy Hallowe'en!

Peter, Peter, pumpkin eater,

Had a wife, and couldn't keep her.

He put her in a pumpkin shell,

And there he kept her very well.

(Mum recited this poem to me last night, at half-past midnight. Can you believe the cheek of Peter???)
Illustrator: Maxfield Parrish

Thank you. I have been trying to think of Maxfield Parrish's name for so long. I have one of his prints and half the time I can't think of his name.

I used to play this on the piano, Peter Peter ...

it's been ages since I heard this rhyme. But kids these days do not learn such rhymes like we used to.

My apologies for missing on the comment when you visited my post. have done so:))

I use to say that all the time and never realized until I was older how violent it is.

Hope you are having a good day.

Love Renee xoxo
